This week was awesome 🙂 We were able to help Jess be baptized! She has come so far and has grown and changed a lot. Her baptism was wonderful. A 12 year old girl named Alyssia who the sisters taught was baptized as well. It was a great day 🙂 Moves call was crazy! Elder Copeland is going to Glasgow to be the zone leader there and I will be going to Glasgow to be a district leader 🙂 My new companion is Elder Huang from Taiwan. He is 21 and a convert of 4 years. He is so funny and I am so excited. We literally have the best zone I have ever seen. Glasgow is such a cool city. It reminds me of New York. I am sad that I wasn’t able to continue to teach Scott, but I am excited to see all that the Lord has in store for me in Glasgow.
Alma 22:4 And Aaron said unto the king: Behold, the Spirit of the Lord has called (Elder Swenson) another way; he has gone to the land of (Glasgow), to teach the people of (China).
Have a great week everyone! I will send pics next week 🙂

I had to wait till after our hike to send this so you could see how pretty Scotland is. I had a great week! I bought a kilt! It is sweet. It is a Douglas Modern Green tartan if you want to see it. Or you could just wait till my homecoming talk hahahaha. Jess is doing great! She is preparing for baptism so please pray for her 🙂 We had a lot of really cool experiences with Scott this week. We have just promised him so many blessings, especially about prayer, and they are all being fulfilled in front of our eyes. It has been amazing. Prayer works! God answers! Try it! Adnan is just taking some time to read the Book of Mormon right now. Moves is this week! I think I will stay and Elder Copeland will leave, but we will see! I hope you all have the best week!

Sorry for being lame at emailing! The holidays were a doozy and I straight up forgot last week. I am sad to hear about the passing of our beloved prophet, Thomas S. Monson. He was a great man and taught me so much about the love of Christ. Saying that, I was very excited to see President Russell M. Nelson announced as the new president of the church and Prophet of God on the Earth. I know that he is called of God. This church is a living church and Jesus Christ is at the head of it.
The past couple weeks we have found some really cool people! Our friend Adnan is from India and came to church! In return, we went to a mosque with him. It was a very cool experience and we were able to teach like 6 Muslim leader guys about Joseph Smith so that was great! The biggest miracle has been Scott! Yes. Scott from Scotland, I know. We got a referral from the Provo MTC Referral missionaries and set up an appointment with Scott for Saturday. He had already been taught 2 lessons via Skype by the missionaries! I have never received an actual solid referral, let alone someone who has been taught on Skype! And is already done with 2 Nephi! He is way cool and has had a lot of small miracles that have led him to the point where he is at now. He came to church and loved it! Such a great experience. Oh and this dumb guy debated with us for 15 min about how Disney sucks because of capitalism and it was the most pointless conversation I have ever had.
I love you all! Have the best week ever.

Merry Christmas everyone!
The past couple weeks have been great. We had another All-Scotland conference last Tuesday and it was really chill! We played Minute to Win it games, made Book of Mormon skits, and watch Moana! My companion, Elder Fehoko, is from Tonga and he had never seen it! He liked it a lot. Viorel went back to Romania for the holidays. We have been caroling with the ward and it has been fun.
Don’t forget to share mormon.org
with your friends to #LightTheWorld! I am so grateful for the Savior of the World. Remember what Christmas is all about!
I love you all! Moves call is on Saturday. Have a great week!

Happy Thanksgiving! Lil late hahaha I hope you all had great Thanksgivings! I had 2 🙂 Our bishop fed us a true American Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday and a senior couple, the Walkers, fed us on Sunday! I now weigh 500 pounds.
Hahaha this week was great! We got to Skype with Viorel and some Romanian missionaries in his home town. It was really cool 🙂 He will be going back home for about a month in December. We have just been finding a lot and it has been good. A Christmas market just started in Paisley so that will bring a lot of new faces into the town center for us to speak to. We had to drive some sisters in the zone to the hospital on Wednesday night! They were in a car accident with their ward mission leader and we didn’t get home until like 2am hahaha. They are alright though so no worries 🙂
Matthew 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. I am thankful for the opportunity to be one of the Lords labourers at this time during the plenteous harvest! I love it. Thank you all for helping and supporting me. I love you! Have a great week!

Sorry for no email last week, but I am staying in Paisley for another transfer! It is only a 5 weeker and there is only like a month left now so it will be quick. This coming week we will get 2 Thanksgiving dinners so I am pumped! Better than America! Hahahah kiddin.
Last week Viorel was able to be ordained to the Aaronic priesthood, did family history, found 2 family names, and went to the temple!!! It was truly a miracle and he loved it. He is the first convert of mine that has gone to the temple. I am so grateful for all the experiences I am having here.
I gave a talk in sacrament yesterday about coming unto Christ and shared a great scripture in it. 2 Nephi 9:45 O, my beloved brethren, turn away from your sins; shake off the chains of him that would bind you fast; come unto that God who is the rock of your salvation. My brother Eric shared a great quote with me a while ago that says “Sometimes God lets us hit rock bottom for us to know that He is the rock at the bottom.” I love this! Repent and come unto God. I love you all and hope you have a great week!

This week was kinda weird! We had to stay in a couple nights because of Halloween and a thing called Guy Fawkes night where they celebrate this guy failing a terrorist attempt in 1605 by making a bunch of bonfires. Kinda weird. hahahaha We got to carve pumpkins and mine is the Jack Skellington one 🙂 We left them in the grass outside our flat and a bunch of slugs were crawling in their eyes and mouth and it looks creepy hahahaha. On Saturday, there was a fireworks show in the town center and 30,000 people were there! It was crazy, but we set up an appointment while we were there with a girl named Ana and taught her the Restoration on Sunday. She is cool 🙂 Viorel was baptized on a Sunday so we had to wait a week for his confirmation and I had the blessing of confirming him and it was a great experience. He is just so happy and excited about the gospel. He started reading The Book of Mormon again and he is in Jacob already. What a legend.
Alma 29:5 Yea, and I know that good and evil have come before all men; he that knoweth not good from evil is blameless; but he that knoweth good and evil, to him it is given according to his desires, whether he desireth good or evil, life or death, joy or remorse of conscience. We all have choices in life! Most of the time they are choices that bring us closer to God or further away from God. Step back and think about where your choices are taking you, and then change them if they aren’t helping you get closer to God.
I love you all! Have a great week!
P.S. I held an owl. His name is Wolly and we are best friends.

Viorel finally was able to be baptized! He was released from the hospital on Tuesday 🙂 His baptismal service was beautiful. He said he felt clean. What a great miracle! I was so happy. Edinburgh was cool as always. I got to go on exchanges with Elder Peacock again and we planned a whole road trip for when he comes to America next summer so that should be fun 🙂
I got to meet another apostle! Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles came to Dundee to speak to all the missionaries serving in Scotland. We took a picture with him and each got to shake his hand 🙂 We learned a lot from him. He said “Never forget the day when an apostle of the Lord came to thank you.” He came all the way to Scotland to thank us! Pretty cool 🙂 I liked when he said “The Lord requires a reasonable effort and sufficient faith that He will do the rest! Faith is a choice.” Choose to have faith everybody!
I love you all 🙂

I got 6 months left in the field today! That is insane. I have already been back for 7 and 1/2 months! Time flies everyone.
T’was a crazy week! Lots of random stuff Elder Fehoko and I had to do, but in the times where we were actually able to do missionary work, we found a really cool kid named Tomas! He is from Portugal and he loved the message of the Restoration and came to Stake Conference with us! Stake Conference was great. Elder Matthieu Bennasar of the 70 spoke to us. He is from France so I asked him if he knew a President Woolley who presided over the Marseilles mission over 20 years ago. He remembered my Grandad! Cool experience. Viorel is in the hospital still 😦 hopefully he will get released soon if these antibiotics work! I am going to Edinburgh for a couple days and then Dundee to meet Elder Renlund! I am excited 🙂
1 Nephi 1:1 I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days. The footnote for afflictions in the first verse in the Book of Mormon is BLESSINGS. What a cool replacement.
Have a great week! I love you all 🙂
