Praise to the Man!

July 24, 2017

Hey everybody!

We had a super good week πŸ™‚ We were able to get to know a lot of the members cause they fed us a lot! πŸ™‚ The coolest experience was on Sunday. A man named Tommy who we met on the street texted us and said he wanted to find more happiness in his life. He said that he saw that happiness in us. We were able to go to his house and start to teach him about the Plan of Salvation. We didn’t even get halfway through the lesson when we felt the Spirit and invited him to be baptized! He was so excited that he could have the chance to have all of his sins washed away. He said a prayer and recognized the Spirit so strongly. He has been through a lot and the Lord has truly prepared him. I am so excited for him πŸ™‚
On Saturday, there was a pipe band competition in the town center of Paisley and it was so cool to be able to watch some of it. There was a huge parade of all the bands at the end where they marched through the town playing Scotland the Brave. Scotland the Brave is the tune that inspired Praise to the Man. It reminded me of my testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and is a prophet of God.
I love you all! Have a great week πŸ™‚

  1. Hello sweetheart!

We had a mission president and his wife speak in our ward today. I’ve never met them, since they’ve been gone for three years and I just moved in two years ago.

The crowd they brought was phenomenal. The spirit was SOOOOOO strong! We truly are our brother’s keepers. Any time we can strengthen and lift someone, we are being the Savior’s hands – we are keeping the covenant we make at baptism and when we take the sacrament, to remember Him always and love an serve our fellow men.

This week I gave a Vietnamese and an English Book of Mormon to a teenage boy at the place where I get my nails done. He was talking with me once and saying that he was struggling to learn English. I told him I would bring him a book that would help him learn quickly.

I have heard that when the Book of Mormon is read in a new language, the Holy Ghost permeates the words so much that the person’s understanding is opened – not only do they learn the new language, but they gain a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ as well.

Love you tons! You are continually in my prayers πŸ’•
