It’s Been A Minute

March 20, 2017

Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I’ve sent one of these. For those who don’t know, I had to go home in June of 2016. It is now March 20, 2017 and I am back in the Scotland/Ireland Mission. Oh man is it great to be home. I’ve missed my friends that I have made and the people of Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. It was a long flight here, but I made it safely to the mission home (March 14th). Seeing President Donaldson and his wife again was an incredible experience that I won’t forget. I wasn’t done travelling yet! After a bite to eat, I had a 2 hour train to Aberdeen to meet up with my companion Elder Richards! He was in my MTC group so it was great to catch up. He is from Sandy, Utah and we have the same birthday! After we met up, we had to catch a bus for an hour and a half to our area, Fraserburgh. Fraserburgh is a small fishing town at the very very top of mainland Scotland. It is part of the Buchan ward. It reminds me a lot of my first area, Galashiels, Scotland!
This week has been great. I thought it would take me a minute to get back into missionary mode, but it kicked in right when we hit the streets. We did a lot of finding this week and met a man named Stewart. We taught him the Restoration on Saturday and it went great. He meant to come to church, but slept in haha. Elder Richards has been working me hard and I have a few blisters on my feet so that is always a good sign 🙂
If any of you have different emails or know anyone that wants to receive my emails let me know please (especially those who have returned home from their missions)! If you want to send letters, my address is:

One of my favorite scriptures is Alma 5:26 And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now? What a great question to ask yourself. If you haven’t experienced a change of heart recently, ask God what you need to change in your life for the better. I am so grateful for the opportunity to return to my mission and represent my Savior Jesus Christ once again. I know that I am where I am supposed to be. I love you all! Keep me updated!

Scottish Word of the Week: Fit
Fit means what. Only people up here by Aberdeen say it. It can be a question by itself “Fit?” or it can be a greeting “Fit like?” which means “What’s up?”
