This has been the craziest 2 years and 9 months of my life. I love it so much. It is so surreal to be in the last week of my mission, but the words of my mission president have helped a lot! He said “Your mission has been such an amazing experience, but what is coming next, will be so much better. The next 5-10 years of your life will be the best years of your life and your mission has prepared you for it.” I am so grateful for the chance that I have had to serve. I know that the Lord has given me so many opportunities to change and grow throughout my mission. The thing I have learned the most is that we need to learn who Jesus Christ is to us. We need to have experiences where we come to closer to God. I have had so many compacted into this short time in my life and I hope to have so many more. I love all the people who I have met and been able to help. It has been amazing. I know the church is true and that God loves all of His children.
The big update for the week is that on Sunday, Emily and Colin, 2 Chinese kids we have been teaching, are getting baptized! It will be a great last day as a missionary for me. I love you all! Thank you for all your support and see you soon!

Hey everyone! These past couple weeks have been great! Rex got baptized! He has come so far and has come out of his shell so much. He said he wants to be a missionary! That would be awesome. A girl named Amanda got baptized as well! Elder Huang helped the other Elders out with teaching her a lot 🙂 We had a lot of dropped appointments this week, bet we were finally able to meet our friend Stevie! We have been trying to see him for 6 weeks hahaha. He is way cool. We didn’t think that we would have anyone to come to church with us this week, but an investigator that we lost contact with showed up out of the blue! Another member brought a referral to church as well 🙂 And the highlight, a Chinese member came up to Elder Huang and I after church and asked us to teach and baptize her daughter! We are so excited. I love seeing all the miracles that are happening. I got to see Elder Clay and Elder Hornberger on Thursday! They came back to visit the mission. Elder Hornberger was the first elder I went on exchange with 🙂 I hope you all have a great Easter and enjoy General Conference!

I am the worst at emailing now. Haha I’m sorry everyone! Things are really going great. The craziest snow storm hit Scotland a couple weeks ago. The whole country shut down. It was like World War Z I swear. Haha we had fun in it though! This past week we were able to help Rex be interviewed for baptism and he will be baptized this Thursday! I am so excited. He has come so far. I am just so grateful to be here. I don’t have much time left, so I am happy for every second!
Alma 37:36-37 Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever. Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
Prayer is amazing! The gospel principles teacher yesterday said it is hard to be close to someone who you don’t communicate with. I know that if we want to be closer to God, we have to communicate with him. And he promises to watch over us and that we will be lifted up at the last day.
I love you all and hope you have a great week!

I don’t have much of interest to report! We have taught a lot of new people this week 🙂 Our friend Rex is doing good! I can’t remember if I told you about him, but he is from China and is way cool 🙂 I have some sweet pics, but my SD card USB reader broke so I can’t send them… I will get a new one this week! I am having loads of fun here in Glasgow. We have a conference tomorrow so I am excited for that 🙂
I studied about Caleb this week. No one really knows his story! I played Caleb in 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and I didn’t even know. He was one of 12 people sent by Moses to check out the land of Cannan and only him and Joshua came back with a positive report saying that they could take the land. Because of his faith in God in his decision, he was given part of the land and received a blessing from God. He is a unsung hero of the Old Testament.
Have a great week everyone! I love you all!

This week was awesome 🙂 We were able to help Jess be baptized! She has come so far and has grown and changed a lot. Her baptism was wonderful. A 12 year old girl named Alyssia who the sisters taught was baptized as well. It was a great day 🙂 Moves call was crazy! Elder Copeland is going to Glasgow to be the zone leader there and I will be going to Glasgow to be a district leader 🙂 My new companion is Elder Huang from Taiwan. He is 21 and a convert of 4 years. He is so funny and I am so excited. We literally have the best zone I have ever seen. Glasgow is such a cool city. It reminds me of New York. I am sad that I wasn’t able to continue to teach Scott, but I am excited to see all that the Lord has in store for me in Glasgow.
Alma 22:4 And Aaron said unto the king: Behold, the Spirit of the Lord has called (Elder Swenson) another way; he has gone to the land of (Glasgow), to teach the people of (China).
Have a great week everyone! I will send pics next week 🙂

I had to wait till after our hike to send this so you could see how pretty Scotland is. I had a great week! I bought a kilt! It is sweet. It is a Douglas Modern Green tartan if you want to see it. Or you could just wait till my homecoming talk hahahaha. Jess is doing great! She is preparing for baptism so please pray for her 🙂 We had a lot of really cool experiences with Scott this week. We have just promised him so many blessings, especially about prayer, and they are all being fulfilled in front of our eyes. It has been amazing. Prayer works! God answers! Try it! Adnan is just taking some time to read the Book of Mormon right now. Moves is this week! I think I will stay and Elder Copeland will leave, but we will see! I hope you all have the best week!

Sorry for being lame at emailing! The holidays were a doozy and I straight up forgot last week. I am sad to hear about the passing of our beloved prophet, Thomas S. Monson. He was a great man and taught me so much about the love of Christ. Saying that, I was very excited to see President Russell M. Nelson announced as the new president of the church and Prophet of God on the Earth. I know that he is called of God. This church is a living church and Jesus Christ is at the head of it.
The past couple weeks we have found some really cool people! Our friend Adnan is from India and came to church! In return, we went to a mosque with him. It was a very cool experience and we were able to teach like 6 Muslim leader guys about Joseph Smith so that was great! The biggest miracle has been Scott! Yes. Scott from Scotland, I know. We got a referral from the Provo MTC Referral missionaries and set up an appointment with Scott for Saturday. He had already been taught 2 lessons via Skype by the missionaries! I have never received an actual solid referral, let alone someone who has been taught on Skype! And is already done with 2 Nephi! He is way cool and has had a lot of small miracles that have led him to the point where he is at now. He came to church and loved it! Such a great experience. Oh and this dumb guy debated with us for 15 min about how Disney sucks because of capitalism and it was the most pointless conversation I have ever had.
I love you all! Have the best week ever.

Merry Christmas everyone!
The past couple weeks have been great. We had another All-Scotland conference last Tuesday and it was really chill! We played Minute to Win it games, made Book of Mormon skits, and watch Moana! My companion, Elder Fehoko, is from Tonga and he had never seen it! He liked it a lot. Viorel went back to Romania for the holidays. We have been caroling with the ward and it has been fun.
Don’t forget to share mormon.org
with your friends to #LightTheWorld! I am so grateful for the Savior of the World. Remember what Christmas is all about!
I love you all! Moves call is on Saturday. Have a great week!

Happy Thanksgiving! Lil late hahaha I hope you all had great Thanksgivings! I had 2 🙂 Our bishop fed us a true American Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday and a senior couple, the Walkers, fed us on Sunday! I now weigh 500 pounds.
Hahaha this week was great! We got to Skype with Viorel and some Romanian missionaries in his home town. It was really cool 🙂 He will be going back home for about a month in December. We have just been finding a lot and it has been good. A Christmas market just started in Paisley so that will bring a lot of new faces into the town center for us to speak to. We had to drive some sisters in the zone to the hospital on Wednesday night! They were in a car accident with their ward mission leader and we didn’t get home until like 2am hahaha. They are alright though so no worries 🙂
Matthew 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. I am thankful for the opportunity to be one of the Lords labourers at this time during the plenteous harvest! I love it. Thank you all for helping and supporting me. I love you! Have a great week!
