This week was a weird one hahaha. We were on exchanges for 3 out of the 7 days so that isn’t normal 🙂 We went to Edinburgh Tuesday
night for exchanges with the assistants. It was a great 2-day exchange with Elder Gibb. Edinburgh is such a cool city. Lots of college students that like to talk to missionaries! We went home Thursday
night and had exchanges in our area with 2 elders in our zone 🙂 It was fun. We weren’t able to see very many people this week, but we were able to find a lot of people for next week! Pray for Viorel! His back is causing him problems and he didn’t make it to church
President Donaldson said this in his email to us this week. “The Book of Mormon is the foundation of the Restoration. It teaches and testifies in plain and unmistakable terms who Jesus Christ is. It is the divinely ordained instrument for the gathering of Israel. It is vital for teaching the doctrine of Christ and for conversion. It contains the fullness of the gospel.” I know that the Book of Mormon is true, because I have read it, and prayed about it! It is that simple. If you haven’t done that, do it! It will change your life 🙂
Have the best week ever!

First off, to brag. I went bowling last pday and got a 176! The best I have ever done 🙂 Hahaha brag over. My week was great! I am meeting a lot of French university students here in Paisley and I always tell them about my mom and my grandad living in France. Oh and about CaremBars (for all the Woolleys reading this). For a miracle this week, Viorel is doing great! We were able to involve a lot of members with him. He came to church even though his back was in a lot of pain! We were able to give him a blessing. Please pray for him! He is doing so well!
I am on the last chapter of The Infinite Atonement by Tad R. Callister and oh man do I love that book. It has changed my perspective on everything. He made a great analogy when talking about justice and mercy. If a man chooses to jump out of a plane, God can’t make gravity not have an effect on him or make the ground soft for his landing. There are laws in the universe that exist and can’t be changed. What God can do is put a parachute on the mans back. If the man chooses to pull the ripcord, he still is affected by gravity and the ground is still hard, but he will be able to land safely. It is the same with us. God has given us the option to repent! He doesn’t break any rules or universal laws, he simply provides a way to save us. We just have to pull the ripcord.
I love you all! Have an awesome week!

This week was so fast! We were in Edinburgh all day Thursday, I was sick AGAIN on Friday, and we were in a place called Kilmarnock for half of Saturday. Hahaha so it flew by. On Saturday, we talked to a man named Viorel from Romania, on the street and sat down and taught him right there! He enjoyed it a lot, and he came to church yesterday! It was awesome. I know that the Lord is preparing so many people in the world to accept the message of the gospel, we just have to open our mouths! We are going to Edinburgh again on Thursday and we are having an All-Scotland conference! It should be fun to see everyone. I love you all and hope you have a great week!

Moves call was on Saturday and Elder Wayment and I are staying together in Paisley! I am super excited 🙂 We have had such a great week! Here is a miracle.
Yesterday, our investigator Owen came to church! But he brought his girlfriend named Summer too. She has been a couple times in the past, but not since I have been here. They loved church. They heard about the ward temple trip on November 17th and they asked us at the end of church how they could go with the ward to the temple. We sent them over to the High Priest Group Leader who is in charge and they arranged to get a ride to Preston and visit the temple! All by themselves! I was in awe. The Lord is truly preparing them and they now have the temple in their sights. We are seeing them tonight and teaching them the Plan of Salvation so that we can set them with a baptismal date, with a goal to do baptisms for the dead when they visit the temple. It was a truly amazing experience. Pray for them! 🙂
I know that the ordinances of the gospel are ways that we can find Heaven on Earth. If you haven’t been to the temple recently to assist in the work of salvation, go this week! The work is there for us, we just have to do it. I have seen so many blessings in my life and many other people’s lives that have come from serving in the temple. Plus, I don’t have a temple in my mission, so you have to help me out haha.
I love you all! Have a great week 🙂

This week was alright! Haha I was sick in the apartment for a couple days so that was rough. We weren’t able to see Christine and the girls because Christine was sick as well. Owen was taught on exchange, but he didn’t come to church
But there is a cool story for this week! Our investigator Anna from Greece, told us that she didn’t want to meet anymore. Elder Wayment asked if she new anyone that would be interested in our message and she said her brother would and that he was standing right there. So Elder Wayment talked to Harry on the phone and was able to teach him on exchange! It was crazy to see how many people are willing to hear our message, but just have to be asked in a specific way.
I was reading in 2 Nephi 31 this week. 2 Nephi 31:19-20 And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save. Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life. We have a lot to do! Baptism is not the end, it is the beginning 🙂 I know that feasting upon the words of Christ has changed my life. Anyone can have the Spirit the way missionaries do, only if they study the scriptures as much as missionaries do!
I love you all 🙂 Happy Birthday Momma!

I was in Edinburgh on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was awesome! It is such a beautiful city. The Fringe festival was happening while I was there and it is the largest arts festival in the world! It was very very busy. We taught some new people this week from Scotland and a girl from Greece!
Sunday was a true miracle day! We weren’t expecting anyone to come to church, but when we walk in, there is our friend Owen! We lost track of him a while ago because we didn’t have his number or his address, but he had been to church once before and he came again! He absolutely loved it. We got his number and address and we are seeing him on Tuesday. Then we had an appointment after church with a lady named Christine in her home. We took a member with us and Christine said that her daughters and their friends were over, but that we could still come in. We sat down and began to talk when the 2 daughters and their 2 friends walk in, grab some chairs, and sit down on the other side of the room. I said, “Oh, are you joining us?” and they said yes. We were able to teach them all about the Restoration and give them each a Book of Mormon. They also accepted baptism on the 26th of August! It was so unexpected and I know that prayer and fasting works. I am loving being out here and seeing the hand of the Lord in everything we do.
I love you all and hope you have a great week!

We were able to teach a couple new people this week and it was really interesting! Haha We taught a Church of Scotland minister in his home on Friday. We met him a couple weeks ago and he was super nice to us. He told us about the problems on the ministry in the Church of Scotland and how they are running out of ministers. He was interested about the story of Joseph Smith so we taught him about the Restoration. He felt that Joseph Smith was sincere and said he would read the Book of Mormon. He wouldn’t commit to pray about it though and when we invited him to be baptized, he said “We will cross that bridge when we get there.” Hahaha we will see! He invited us back 🙂 We also taught a man from Uganda named Billy 🙂 He is a 7th Day Adventist and works for a cruise line and he has literally been everywhere in the world. He loved the Restoration and we are going to have to explain to him how the Sabbath is on a Sunday now lol. We are seeing a lot of miracles in our area 🙂 This week we are going to Edinburgh on Tuesday and Wednesday for a missionary conference and exchanges with the AP’s 🙂 I am pumped.
“Because of His Atonement, the Savior has the power to succor—to help—every mortal pain and affliction.” —Dallin H. Oaks. I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach people about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We are teaching a lot of people that have had pretty rough lives. Jesus Christ can help each of us, no matter what has or will happen to us.
Have a wonderful week!

We had a super good week 🙂 We were able to get to know a lot of the members cause they fed us a lot! 🙂 The coolest experience was on Sunday. A man named Tommy who we met on the street texted us and said he wanted to find more happiness in his life. He said that he saw that happiness in us. We were able to go to his house and start to teach him about the Plan of Salvation. We didn’t even get halfway through the lesson when we felt the Spirit and invited him to be baptized! He was so excited that he could have the chance to have all of his sins washed away. He said a prayer and recognized the Spirit so strongly. He has been through a lot and the Lord has truly prepared him. I am so excited for him 🙂
On Saturday, there was a pipe band competition in the town center of Paisley and it was so cool to be able to watch some of it. There was a huge parade of all the bands at the end where they marched through the town playing Scotland the Brave. Scotland the Brave is the tune that inspired Praise to the Man. It reminded me of my testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and is a prophet of God.
I love you all! Have a great week 🙂

Hey friends and family!
Sorry for no email last week, I was busy all day. 2 Saturdays ago I got my moves call and my days in Dublin are done! I was very sad to leave. But I am now in Paisley, Scotland! My companion is Elder Wayment from Henefer, Utah. Ever heard of it? Neither has anyone else hahaha. Elder Wayment is very humble and diligent and I have a lot to learn from him. Paisley is the biggest town in Scotland and is right next to Glasgow. Our zone covers most of the west coast of Scotland 🙂
We had to do a lot of transfer stuff during the week and drive a lot of missionaries around. We had a really good conference in Edinburgh on Thursday with all of the zone leaders in the mission. The ward here in Paisley is great! We set up more dinner appointments for this week than I have set up in any other week during my mission 🙂
We are teaching some really cool people like Sarah. Sarah has met with missionaries for a while and has a strong desire to be baptized. She just has to overcome some things in her life and she will be able to get dunked 🙂
Mosiah 28:3 Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not bear that any human soul should perish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure endless torment did cause them to quake and tremble. President Donaldson shared this scripture with us on Thursday and said that this is how we should feel as missionaries. I think this is how we should feel as members! Share the gospel with a friend this week 🙂
I love you all!

No letter today. Paul was transferred to Paisley, Scotland today and spent the day travelling. He left Dublin at 7:30 am and arrived at his flat at 10 pm. He is still serving as a Zone leader and his new companion is Elder Wayment from Utah.
Here are a few pictures from his travels.
